MY STORY
I’m a Danish writer, singer and musician who grew up in East and southern Africa, graduated from School of Oriental and African Studies in 2004 and received my Masters in International Development from Roskilde University in 2007. I wrote my Masters about stigma and empowerment of women living with AIDS in Kibera, Nairobi.
I worked as a programme coordinator for a global NGO within the areas of child rights and child protection (with a specific focus on children with disabilities), as well as gender based violence and youth empowerment. My partner countries were mainly Kenya and Egypt.
I became ill with ME and POTS in 2011 and have been mostly bedbound since 2017. My essays about the (lack of) treatment of ME patients, the sexism and stigma of ME, how doctors dismiss and ridicule patients, as well as patients’ rights to participate in decision-making about their own bodies, have been published in Danish national newspapers.
My debut album came out in September 2025. I recorded all theses songs from bed and wheelchair.
Join my newsletter where I share songs, conversations, and reflections for folk lovers, deep listeners, and anyone curious about the inner life of music and how it intertwines with self-love, spirituality and social change.
