The Art of Expression
Original Artwork
These paintings begin in stillness and darkness, but are born from a vivacious joy for life.
I make my art from bed and sometimes by my desk. Living with chronic illness means my days are small by necessity. But smallness, I have learned, is not the same as emptiness. I have a sprawling inner world that demands to be expressed.
I paint because I need color in a life that doesn’t always let me go looking for it.
Acrylics and mixed media are my main mediums and I paint both on thick watercolor or mixed media paper as well as canvases.
Each piece of abstract art is an act of joy. A quiet, stubborn, insisted-upon joy.
Every painting is an original — made slowly, on good days, from the inside of my life. When you bring one home, you are bringing something that could only have come from this place.
In my shop I have fine art paper prints and fine art canvas prints.
Behind the Canvas
My creative process is deeply intertwined with my daily experiences and challenges. Being bedbound has taught me to find beauty in stillness and to channel my energy into creating art that speaks to the soul. I often start with a colour concept that suits an inner emotion – or an emotion I strive to feel, translating it into abstract forms and compositions that are pleasing to the eye. The use of color and texture is pivotal, as it allows me to convey the depth of my emotions and the stories I wish to tell. Each piece is crafted with care, reflecting my passion for art and my desire to share my perspective with the world.

Your Questions Answered
Welcome to our FAQ section, where we address common inquiries about my art and music. Click on a question to reveal the answer.
Q: If I choose a print with a passepartout and frame, what size is the actual print?
The frame and passepartout will be one size smaller. If you choose size A4 and add a passepartout the artwork inside will be A5. If you choose size A4 without the passepartout the artwork inside will be A4.
This happens because the passepartout creates a border around the print. To fit properly inside that border, the artwork is automatically made one size smaller than the frame size.
So in this case:
- Frame + passepartout: A4
- Actual print inside: A5 (14.8 × 21 cm)
The passepartout simply frames the artwork visually, which is why the print itself is smaller than the outer frame.
What inspires your abstract artwork?
My art is inspired by the vibrant emotions and experiences of living with chronic illness. Each piece reflects a journey of resilience and creativity.
How can I purchase your artwork?
You can explore and purchase my fine art prints (paper or canvas) through my online shop. Each artwork is a unique expression of my inner world.
Do you offer custom art commissions?
No, at the moment I am not accepting custom commissions, I am simply not well enough yet. But send me an email if you want a commission and I’ll write you on a waiting list in case I open up for custom commissions.
What mediums do you use in your paintings?
I primarily use acrylics and mixed media on thick watercolor paper or canvas, allowing for rich textures and vibrant colors in my work.
How can I stay updated on your latest creations?
Join my newsletter to receive updates on new artworks, music releases, and reflections on creativity and life. It’s the best way to stay connected.
Can I purchase the original artwork and not prints?
It is possible to purchase my original artwork if you live on Bornholm (Denmark) or come to visit. Please email me to inquire and I’ll send you my adress and we’ll arrange a time for you to come see my artwork and purchase it if you choose.
As I live with chronic illness and am mostly bedbound I don’t have the capacity to handle shipping at the moment.
